FREC-3| What Is It For?
Are you willing to work on events or the security industry as the response medic? Are you considering joining the frontline emergency ambulance service but do not have any medical background or qualification? Then FREC-3 is the perfect course to get you started. Its comprehensive modules and advanced skill set will give you the confidence to respond quickly and effectively. FREC-3 stands for the Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care, which is the final step to gaining a full qualification in pre-hospital acute medical care. The course provides learners with the essential skills and knowledge required to work as an emergency first responder in various situations.
You will learn about patient assessment, management of conditions such as cardiac arrest and asthma attacks, and other life-threatening emergency scenarios. In this course, you will also be trained to use specialist equipment such as oxygen therapy and automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
The entry point is aimed at people with an NVQ Level 2, 3 (or equivalent) in Health or Social Care and those working in the pre-hospital environment. However, you can start with no previous qualifications or medical background.
It is important to note that this course does not provide formal qualifications for paramedics or ambulance technicians. If you have NHS training at the ECA level or higher, you can directly enroll in the FREC-4 course (please contact us to discuss if your current qualifications are sufficient).
Every experienced clinician must thoroughly understand the principles and practice of first-response emergency care. Whether working in an ambulance, on-site at any event or part of a security team, FREC-3 will equip you with the necessary skills to take control and provide the best possible medical assistance.
